1. Pakistan is home to one of the oldest civilizations in the world (INDIA) . The Indus Valley Civilization, which flourished from 2500 BC to 1500 BC, was centered around the Indus River that runs through Pakistan. This civilization had advanced urban planning, sanitation, trade, and writing systems. Some of its major cities were Mohenjo Daro and Harappa, which are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites.


2. Pakistan has the highest paved international road in the world. The Karakoram Highway (KKH) connects Pakistan with China through the Karakoram mountain range. The highway is also known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" because of its engineering marvels and scenic beauty. The highway reaches an altitude of 4,693 meters (15,397 feet) at its highest point.


3. Pakistan has the largest canal-based irrigation system in the world. The country has more than 58,000 km (36,000 miles) of canals that irrigate over 14 million hectares (34 million acres) of land. The canals are fed by rivers such as the Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and Kabul. These rivers also provide hydroelectric power to Pakistan.


4. Pakistan has the world's largest ambulance network. The Edhi Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides free social services to millions of people in Pakistan and abroad. It was founded by Abdul Sattar Edhi (1928-2016), who was known as "Pakistan's Mother Teresa" for his humanitarian work. The Edhi Foundation operates over 1,800 ambulances across Pakistan and responds to over 6 million emergencies every year.


5. Pakistan was the first Islamic country to attain nuclear power. In 1998, Pakistan conducted six nuclear tests in response to India's nuclear tests earlier that year. This made Pakistan the seventh country in the world to have nuclear weapons capability. Since then, both countries have declared a moratorium on further testing and have engaged in several peace talks.


6. Pakistan has produced some brilliant minds and talents in various fields. For example:


- Malala Yousafzai is the youngest Nobel Prize laureate in history for her advocacy for girls' education and women's rights .
